Description

Marketed as the "jet-black neo-versatile," the 24METANIUM DC (24 Metanium DC) is an all-round baitcasting reel built around a low-inertia MGL Spool III sized 34/19mm for a balance of light start-up and cast distance.

Its DC brake runs the new I-DC5 firmware, sensing spool rotation and adjusting braking force instantly for longer casts with less backlash. A Core Solid Body gives the low-profile frame high rigidity without adding weight, and the Micro Module Gear is backed by X-SHIP for a smooth, precise retrieve. The external brake dial offers 3 line modes x 5 brake levels — 15 settings in total — adjustable without opening the side plate.

Sizes: 70, 71, 70HG, 71HG, 70XG, 71XG.

Information

The drivetrain

A low-inertia MGL Spool III sized 34/19mm balances a light start-up with solid casting distance, while a Core Solid Body keeps the low-profile frame rigid without adding weight, and the Micro Module Gear backed by X-SHIP gives a smooth, precise retrieve.

What it's built for

An all-round baitcaster suited to a wide range of techniques and lure weights in one reel, from cranking to pitching, wherever a versatile rather than technique-specific baitcaster is wanted.

How it fishes

The new I-DC5 brake firmware senses spool rotation and adjusts braking force instantly for longer casts with less backlash, and 15 total brake settings (3 line modes × 5 levels) can be dialled in externally without opening the side plate.

Spools and spares

Pair with a medium-power fast-action baitcasting rod and 10–20 lb fluorocarbon or braid with a fluorocarbon leader, choosing standard, HG or XG gearing to suit preferred retrieve speed.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
