Terms Of Service
Last updated: July 7, 2026.
This website is operated by The Lure Pack. Throughout the site, the terms "we", "us", and "our" refer to The Lure Pack. By visiting this site or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms of Service and the policies linked from this site.
Online Store Terms
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you confirm that you are at least the age of majority in your place of residence, or that you have given consent for any minor dependent to use this site. Customers must be 18 years or older to purchase from our store. You may not use our products, website, or services for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.
Non-Excludable Consumer Rights
These Terms apply subject to any non-excludable rights you have under applicable consumer law. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law, EU and UK consumer rules, and applicable United States state and federal consumer protection laws.
If a product is faulty, unsafe, misdescribed, not as described, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise covered by a statutory guarantee, we will provide the remedy required by applicable law.
Product Availability And Order Acceptance
Product availability is not guaranteed until an order is confirmed and stock is allocated. Some items may be in stock, supplier-sourced, imported on demand, preorder, or special order. We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit an order or any unfulfilled part of an order before fulfilment where permitted by law, including for suspected fraud, payment or address verification issues, pricing or listing errors, inventory errors, supplier unavailability, destination restrictions, shipping limitations, safety or compliance concerns, abusive conduct, or suspected resale/commercial misuse.
If we cancel an unfulfilled item, we will refund the cancelled item as required by applicable law. If an item cannot be fulfilled or cannot ship within the stated timeframe, we will contact you before shipping and provide the options required by applicable law, including cancellation and refund where required.
Shipping And Delivery
Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees, unless a guaranteed service is explicitly purchased and confirmed. In-stock items normally ship within 1-3 business days. Some items need extra handling, supplier confirmation, preorder processing, special-order sourcing, imported-on-demand sourcing, product checks, or address/payment review and may take up to 8 business days to ship unless the product page or checkout states a longer timeframe.
Small lightweight orders may qualify for International Air Packet or Small Packet Airmail where available. Express or courier options such as DHL, FedEx, EMS, UPS, or similar services may be available at checkout. Rods and oversize items may require separate shipment, special packaging, courier service, insurance, signature, or an additional surcharge.
Carrier delays, customs inspection, regulatory review, holidays, carrier holds, payment or document delays, remote-area routing, weather, and other events outside our control may extend delivery estimates. If a material delay arises before dispatch, we will update you and provide available options required by applicable law.
Duties, Taxes, Tariffs, And Carrier Fees
International orders are usually handled on a DAP/DDU basis unless checkout clearly says duties, taxes, tariffs, and import fees are included or prepaid. Unless checkout says otherwise, all destination-country import duties, tariffs, VAT, GST, sales tax, customs clearance charges, brokerage, postal handling, carrier advancement or disbursement fees, landed-cost provider fees, storage or warehouse fees, regulatory charges, and similar import charges are the customer's responsibility. These charges are set or collected by governments, customs authorities, postal operators, carriers, brokers, or landed-cost providers, not by The Lure Pack.
For international shipments, the customer or recipient may be treated as the consignee, importer, or importer of record unless checkout, the carrier, or applicable law clearly provides another arrangement. Customers are responsible for providing complete recipient contact details, including phone number and email address, and any required tax ID, importer number, EIN, SSN, VAT number, EORI number, ABN, or local equivalent. Missing, late, or inaccurate information may cause customs holds, storage or warehouse fees, return to sender, cancellation, abandonment, disposal, or extra charges.
Customs documents must describe the actual items shipped, including product description, quantity, transaction value or fair market value, country of origin or manufacture where known, HS/HTS classification where available, and shipment purpose. Declared value for customs is separate from carrier insurance or declared value for carriage. Customs authorities make final decisions on classification, value, admissibility, duties, taxes, fees, and release.
We do not add a profit margin to customs duties, tariffs, taxes, or government import charges. Where Japan Post, Zonos, DHL, FedEx, UPS, EMS, another postal operator, a courier, a broker, or a landed-cost provider collects, advances, remits, or invoices these amounts, the total may include that provider's processing, remittance, advancement, brokerage, clearance, storage, warehouse, duty-tax forwarding, administrative, transaction, or percentage-based fee. Those amounts are not a product price and are not revenue to The Lure Pack except to the limited extent a provider requires us to collect and pass them through.
If duties, taxes, tariffs, or fees are prepaid at checkout or before shipment, that payment is a pass-through landed-cost or DDP charge handled through the applicable provider. If they are not prepaid, the destination postal operator, customs authority, carrier, or broker may require the customer to pay them before or at delivery. Refusing delivery, failing to pay, failing to collect, failing to provide required customs information, or being unavailable for customs or carrier contact may cause delay, storage or warehouse fees, return, abandonment, disposal, destruction, or additional charges. If a carrier, customs authority, broker, postal operator, or landed-cost provider invoices us as sender for unpaid duties, taxes, return freight, storage, penalties, or related costs, we may charge or deduct those pass-through costs from any refund where permitted by law.
Any duty, tax, tariff, or landed-cost estimate shown at checkout, by Zonos, by a carrier, or by a postal service is an estimate or provider quote based on information available at the time, including destination, declared value, product classification, country of origin, shipping method, and carrier rules. Final customs decisions, carrier fees, exchange rates, and government rules may differ.
Australia example: Australian Border Force guidance says most goods valued at AUD 1,000 or less generally have no duties, taxes, or charges collected at the border, but low-value imported goods may still have GST collected at checkout where required. Goods over AUD 1,000 generally require an import declaration and may be subject to customs duty, 10% GST on the value of the taxable importation, import processing charges, and carrier or broker charges. Unless checkout expressly says those charges are included, the customer/importer is responsible for them.
United States and Japan Post/Zonos example: U.S. import duties, tariffs, taxes, and fees depend on destination rules, carrier, declared value, tariff classification, product origin, and whether the parcel moves by postal service or commercial courier. For Japan Post shipments to the United States, current Japan Post/Zonos processes may require U.S. duties to be prepaid through Zonos before the parcel leaves Japan. If that applies, the customer is responsible for the duty, tariff, and Zonos or provider fee, and we may collect or request that amount as a pass-through before shipment. Zonos, customs, or the carrier may calculate or invoice the amount; The Lure Pack does not set it or profit from it.
UK and European example: UK, EU, EEA, and Northern Ireland customers may owe VAT/import VAT, customs duty, postal handling, courier brokerage, clearance, storage, warehouse, or other charges depending on destination rules, order value, product type, origin, and whether tax is collected at checkout. Current EU low-value import rules may add flat per-item customs duties for some B2C consignments up to EUR 150 and may require item-level product identifiers, HS/CN/TARIC codes, origin, and product-safety data. We may decline, cancel, split, or hold EU/EEA/Northern Ireland/UK shipments if required GPSR, product-safety, responsible-economic-operator, importer, tax, or customs data cannot be satisfied.
We will not mark orders as gifts, undervalue shipments, split orders to avoid duties or taxes, or falsify customs documents.
International Sales, Import Rules, And Fishing Regulations
Customers are responsible for checking local import rules, fishing regulations, product restrictions, licensing requirements, and use restrictions before ordering or using fishing tackle. Some products, including sharp items, hooks, knives, tools, lead-containing tackle, soft plastics, scented or treated baits, liquid attractants, gels, oils, aerosols, glues, batteries, electronics, lights, power banks, oversize rods, animal or plant materials, wood, feathers, reusable packaging, or other regulated goods may be restricted or unavailable in some destinations.
For EU, EEA, and Northern Ireland sales, GPSR and related product-safety rules may require product identifiers, manufacturer details, responsible-economic-operator details, warnings, labels, safety documentation, and other product-specific information. A policy note is not a substitute for product-specific compliance. We may restrict, cancel, split, hold, or refund a shipment where required product-safety, importer, tax, or customs data cannot be satisfied.
If an item cannot lawfully or practically be sold or shipped to your destination, or if a selected carrier later rejects it, we may cancel the affected item and refund it. Product availability, legal use, and warning requirements may vary by country, state, province, territory, or local waterway.
Rods, Oversize Items, And High-Value Orders
Rods ship separately from smaller tackle. We pack rods in a rigid tube or reinforced carton and choose the carrier based on packed length, destination, and service availability. Some high-value, fragile, limited-run, or oversize orders may require courier shipment, insurance, signature cover, manual quote, tube fee, or carrier substitution rather than economy packet shipment. We may cancel and refund an affected oversize item if no compliant route is available.
Cancellations
Orders can usually be cancelled before they are packed or handed to the carrier. We may refuse, cancel, or limit an order or any unfulfilled part of an order before fulfilment where permitted by law for the reasons listed in these Terms. Once an order has been packed, shipped, or specially sourced from a supplier, cancellation may not be possible unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Address Responsibility
Customers are responsible for entering a complete and correct delivery address, including apartment, unit, company, postcode, state, country, and any delivery notes required by the carrier. We are not responsible for delays, failed delivery, return-to-sender events, lost parcels, extra carrier fees, customs issues, or reshipment costs caused by an incorrect, incomplete, outdated, restricted, or undeliverable address unless the issue was caused by our error or applicable law requires otherwise.
Contact us immediately if your address is wrong. Address changes may not be possible after packing, supplier handoff, carrier handoff, or label purchase.
If you use a freight forwarder, parcel locker, hotel, workplace, mailroom, or third-party receiving service, delivery to that address may count as delivery to you. Loss, delay, damage, refusal, customs issues, address correction, reroute, return, or reshipment after delivery to the address you supplied is your responsibility unless the issue was caused by our error or applicable law requires otherwise.
Returns And Refunds
Returns, replacements, and refunds are handled under our Returns and Refunds Policy and applicable consumer law. For rods and oversize damage, contact us within 7 days with photos of the packaging, label, and item.
Fishing Tackle Safety Warnings
Fishing tackle can contain sharp hooks, points, blades, small parts, weights, line, wire, scents, soft plastics, packaging, or other components that can injure people, animals, or property if misused. Keep tackle away from children and pets. Fishing tackle is not a toy.
Handle hooks and sharp tackle carefully, use eye protection where appropriate, dispose of line and damaged tackle responsibly, and follow local fishing and environmental rules.
Some tackle may contain lead, lead alloys, nickel, coatings, plastics, phthalates, or other chemicals. Do not place tackle, sinkers, weights, line, or soft plastics in your mouth. Do not bite sinkers or weights. Wash hands after handling tackle, especially lead-containing items, and keep those products away from children.
If a product includes batteries, electronics, lights, scents, attractants, knives, tools, lead weights, soft plastics, or other regulated components, follow the product-specific safety instructions and warnings provided with that item. Loose lithium batteries and power banks are not accepted for international shipping unless the selected carrier service expressly allows them.
California Proposition 65 And Product Warnings
California Proposition 65 requires warnings for exposures to chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. Some fishing tackle, packaging, coatings, soft plastics, metals, lead-containing components, or accessories may require a product-specific Proposition 65 warning.
Where a Proposition 65 warning is required, the warning should appear before purchase on the product page, at checkout, on product packaging, or in another legally recognized place. A general policy note is not a substitute for a product-specific warning. Prop 65 warnings should identify at least one listed chemical where required and direct customers to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
If you are in California and believe a product page is missing a required safety or Proposition 65 warning, contact us before purchase at hey@thelurepack.com.
