Description

The Jigpara Vertical Short is Major Craft's all-round vertical jigging metal jig, built for jigged presentations over structure and reef. The 150g size uses the line's standard short-form silhouette with a multi-layer coated finish, and is available in Red Gold, Blue Pink, Silver, and two Kaimura (UV-reactive) live-bait finishes.

Suited to offshore vertical jigging for a range of pelagic and bottom species. The Kaimura colourways glow under UV light to mimic baitfish scale patterns in low-light water.

Information

The swimming action

An all-purpose vertical jigging silhouette that bites the water firmly without over-flying, giving a controlled, easy-to-read action across a wide range of retrieves from a slow jerk to a one-pitch jerk. A six-layer coating resists chipping when worked hard around structure.

When to throw it

Built for offshore vertical jigging over reef and structure holding pelagic and bottom species; the range's live-bait and glow finishes suit low-light bites, while dedicated tachiuo-pattern colours target cutlassfish specifically.

How to work it

Drop to the bottom or to marked fish, then work it with a slow jerk for a subtle, natural action or a faster one-pitch jerk-and-fall for reaction bites. Vary retrieve speed until you find what triggers a response on the day.

The setup it likes

Suits a light-to-medium offshore jigging rod, a 4000-6000 reel or small conventional, PE 1.5-2.5 braid and a 30-40 lb fluorocarbon leader, sizing up for the heavier 150g weight.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
