Description

The Major Craft Jigpara Vertical TG is a tungsten metal jig for SLJ and snapper (madai) jigging that Major Craft also rates for pelagic fish, sea bream and rockfish. This is the 80g weight, available here in Red Gold (#03), Zebra Glow (#07), Green Gold (#11), Kaimura Sardine (#15), Kaimura Anchovy (#16) and Zebra Red Gold (#77).

Being denser than lead, the tungsten head sinks faster than an equivalent lead jig, so it reaches the bottom first and lets you work more drops per drift, while its compact profile stays effective when bait is small or fish are wary. The all-round body suits one-pitch jerking, fall and straight retrieve, and is finished in Major Craft's chip-resistant 'Super multilayered coating'.

Information

The swimming action

A tungsten-headed all-round jig shape that sinks noticeably faster than an equivalent lead jig thanks to tungsten's higher density, reaching the bottom first and allowing more drops per drift. The compact silhouette stays effective when bait is small or fish are under pressure.

When to throw it

Built for super light jigging (SLJ) and tai-jigging (madai) as well as general offshore work on pelagics, sea bream and rockfish, wherever a fast-sinking, compact profile is needed to compete with strong current or deep water.

How to work it

Drop to the bottom, then work it with a one-pitch jerk, a controlled fall, or a straight retrieve -- the all-round shape handles all three equally well. The chip-resistant multilayer coating holds its finish through repeated bottom contact.

The setup it likes

Matches a light SLJ or tai-jigging rod, a 3000-4000 spinning or small conventional reel, PE 0.8-1.5 braid and a 16-25 lb fluorocarbon leader, sizing up leader for the heavier 150g weight.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.
