Description

The BamBluz JIG Semi Long is an offshore casting metal jig from Jackall built around an asymmetrical left-right silhouette, giving it a quick, water-cutting dart on the retrieve and an instant switch into its fall action. On the drop it rolls and slides away from a horizontal posture, a deliberate cue designed to trigger a bite at that moment. It comes standard with an original assist hook engineered for fights with species such as yellowtail and amberjack.

The 150g weight sits in the middle of the Semi Long line's six-size run from 100g to 250g, giving boat anglers a jig suited to fast tidal currents where a lively, agile dart is needed. It is available here in 5 official colourways.

The swimming action

An asymmetrical left-right silhouette gives the Semi Long a quick, water-cutting dart on the jerk that snaps instantly into its fall action, rolling and sliding away from a horizontal posture on the drop.

When to throw it

Boat jigging for pelagic species such as yellowtail and amberjack, particularly in fast-running tidal current where the jig's dart stays lively rather than folding up, covering mid-water as well as bottom structure.

How to work it

Work it with quick jerks through the high-pitch to long-jerk range to draw out the underwater dart, letting the roll-and-slide fall trigger the strike, resting briefly on the pause to let the fall develop fully.

The setup it likes

Suits an offshore jigging rod matched to the jig weight, a jigging-spec spinning or overhead reel loaded with PE3-6 braid, and a fluorocarbon leader of roughly 40-60 lb depending on jig weight and target size.
