Description

The BamBluz Jig TG SLJ is a compact metal jig from Jackall built for super light jigging (SLJ), using a high-specific-gravity tungsten body for a light, sharp feel in the hand. Its slim, sharp silhouette combines a full-volume back with a thin, sharp belly, giving it a quick action response that rolls and slides on the fall the instant line tension releases after a jerk stroke.

This 80g model comes standard with an original-shape assist hook, back fire cap and dedicated rubber necktie that flutters with the jig's action to draw strikes and double as a bite marker; the hook and necktie parts can be swapped out to suit conditions. It ships in four colourways: Red Gold/Magma Wave Holo, Pink Back/Magma Wave Holo, Green Gold/Slim Border Holo and Custom Plain, an unpainted tungsten finish that keeps reflection low and can be hand-painted to taste.

Information

The swimming action

A high-specific-gravity tungsten body gives this compact jig a light, sharp feel in the hand, with a slim, full-volume-back/thin-belly shape that snaps into a rolling, sliding fall the instant line tension releases after a jerk.

When to throw it

Super light jigging (SLJ) for pelagic species from a light outfit, useful when a smaller, denser jig is needed to keep contact and feel through a light rod and thin braid.

How to work it

Work it with a jerk-and-fall rhythm, feeling for the moment tension releases and the jig rolls into its fall; swap the interchangeable assist hook and rubber necktie to fine-tune the action.

The setup it likes

Suits a dedicated SLJ spinning rod, a small jigging reel loaded with PE0.6-1.2 braid, and a fluorocarbon leader of roughly 12-20 lb, light enough tackle to feel every knock on the jig.
