Information

The swimming action

The Domingo 80 is a tall-bodied sinking pencil that cuts a natural S-curve slalom through the water, holding the 80 to 110cm depth range even in rivers with current.

When to throw it

Built to target lunker seabass, it suits rivers, estuaries, tidal flats, rocky shorelines and surf where a slow presentation near the bottom is needed to tempt wary, larger fish.

How to work it

Work it on a slow retrieve to develop the S-curve slalom near the bottom, holding depth through current rather than letting it wash up in the water column.

The setup it likes

A 7.5 to 9 foot M to MH seabass spinning rod suits the Domingo 80's 25g weight, matched with a 3000 to 4000 size reel, 12 to 16lb braid and a 20 to 25lb fluorocarbon leader.
