Description

The Gulp! Turbo Shrimp 3inch is a shrimp-shaped soft lure aimed at rockfish, black seabream (chinu) and flatfish. Its distinctive legs imitate a swimming shrimp and generate a vibrating action that spreads Gulp! scent through the water, while the moderate resistance they create makes the bait easy to work with lift-and-fall, drag, stay and shake retrieves. It suits free rig, light Texas rig, direct rig and jig-head-trailer set-ups. The 3inch size is supplied 6 to a pack, matched to an offset #1/0-2/0 hook.

Made from Berkley's water-based Gulp! formula, it releases scent and flavour up to 400 times faster than ordinary soft plastics that don't dissolve in water, appealing to a broad range of bottom-feeding saltwater species.

Information

The swimming action

Distinctive legs imitate a swimming shrimp and generate a vibrating action that spreads scent through the water, with moderate resistance that makes the bait easy to work on a range of retrieves without over-driving the action on a fast rod tip.

When to throw it

Aimed at rockfish, black seabream (chinu) and flatfish, suiting structure, drop-offs and sandy ground where these species feed on shrimp and other crustaceans, and effective across most of the open season on both rocky and mixed bottom marks alike each year.

How to work it

Suits free rig, light Texas rig, direct rig or jig-head-trailer set-ups around a #1/0-2/0 offset hook, worked with lift-and-fall, drag, stay and shake retrieves to keep the legs kicking and the scent spreading through each pause in the whole retrieve.

The setup it likes

A rockfish or light finesse spinning rod in L to ML power pairs well with this bait, run on a 2000-2500 reel loaded with PE 0.6-1.0 braid or 6-10 lb fluorocarbon main line and finished with a 6-10 lb fluorocarbon leader to handle rock and structure.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?
