Information

The swimming action

A soft, supple body with a built-in pin-tail gives a fine, natural vibration rather than a wide kick, mimicking the subtle movement of a small sardine as it drifts or is drawn slowly through the water. The Gulp! water-based scent formula disperses through the water alongside the visual profile.

When to throw it

A staple for shore-based aji and mebaru fishing, especially in harbours, jetties and river mouths where small bait fish shoal. The wide 15-colour range covers clear water through to low light and murky conditions across most of the season, day or night.

How to work it

Thread onto a light jig head sized to the depth and current, then work with a slow straight retrieve or a gentle lift-and-fall, letting the tail do the work rather than imparting a hard rod action, and slow down further when bites are hesitant.

The setup it likes

A light spinning outfit around 6'0"-7'0" in L to ML power suits this size of bait, matched to a 2000-2500 spinning reel loaded with 3-6 lb fluorocarbon or PE 0.3-0.6 braid as the main line, finished with a 4-8 lb fluorocarbon leader for aji and mebaru-class light game work.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?
