Xesta Assault Jet Type TR is the Assault Jet series' dedicated tip-run egging (squid jigging) model, built with a solid tip for detecting delicate bites while still driving a firm hookset, and SiC-S / SiC guides suited to the heavy line wear of tip-run fishing.

Two solid-tip actions are offered: the ST510M-S "Solid Technica" is a short, carbon-solid-tip model built for quick action in deep areas and against large squid; the SV63ML-S "Solid Versatile" has a glass solid tip for more delicate egi (squid jig) control in slack current or autumn conditions.

How it fishes

Fished tip-run style: the rod is held or rested while drift and current move the egi, with the solid tip registering bites for a controlled hookset rather than an active jerk-retrieve.

The setup it likes

Pair with a small-to-mid tip-run-specific reel, PE0.6–1.0 mainline and a fluorocarbon leader suited to boat eging, choosing solid-tip stiffness to match the depth and squid size being targeted on a given day.
