The Xesta PPJ UPDATE (パワーピッチジャークアップデート) is the renewal of Xesta's power pitch jerk rod series — previously sold as the Slow Emotion PPJ — updated for the first time in roughly eight years. Xesta states the update increases power and durability strength, widens the jig-weight range each model can handle, adds a more durable Ocean Blue blank finish, and thickens the EVA grip for extra protection.

Blanks use Toray Torayca T1100G carbon with a titanium MNST (SiC) top guide, titanium KW (SiC-S) tiptop and titanium RV (SiC-S) butt guides. This listing covers the B60-PPJ (150–350g high-pitch / 500g slow-jig max), a regular-slow model for mid-deep slow jigging through to shallow high-pitch work on large grouper and yellowtail, and the B57-PPJ (180–400g high-pitch / 600g slow-jig max), built for a more natural jig action when targeting kingfish and medium-class bluefin tuna.
