Description

Xesta Catapult (カタパルト) is an offshore casting rod aimed at tuna and large hiramasa (goldstriped amberjack), combining the power-blank technology Xesta developed for jigging with the cast-blank technology from its shore jigging rods, for long casts of diving pencils and poppers with accurate approaches to feeding fish.

S83-8 has a max cast weight of 150g and max PE8 line; its supple tip handles a wide range of plugs, with butt power that absorbs and lifts against tuna and hiramasa runs. S83-10 steps up to a 180g max cast weight and PE10, aimed at 100kg-class fish, with a sharp casting feel and a parabolic taper built for long fights.

The blank

Combines Xesta's jigging power-blank technology with cast-blank technology from its shore jigging rods, giving a supple tip for casting a wide range of plugs on the S83-8, and a sharp-casting parabolic taper built for long fights on the S83-10.
