Description

The Timon Buriburi Minnow F is a 40mm, 2.4g floating minnow from Jackall's Timon trout series, built around an internally engraved scale texture that scatters light on the retrieve for extra flash appeal. Its down-turned lip bites the water well and delivers a wide swimming action with solid dive depth even on a slow retrieve.

Designed for stocked-trout waters where fish have gone off spoons, it is rigged with a 22CP#8 hook and a twin #0 split ring. This listing carries the two 2020 glow-in-the-dark colourways, End Glow Pellet Brown and End Glow Pellet Olive.

Information

The swimming action

The Buriburi Minnow F rides on a down-turned lip that bites the water firmly, producing a wide wobbling swim with good flash from its internally engraved scale texture. It holds a solid diving depth even on a slow retrieve, keeping the wobble steady rather than tightening up when eased back.

When to throw it

Built for stocked-trout ponds and area lakes where fish have seen plenty of spoons and gone quiet on them. The wide wobble and flash give a different profile to draw renewed interest, useful once the morning bite on smaller spoons slows.

How to work it

Fish it on a straight, slow retrieve to let the lip do the work; there is no need to speed up for action, as the wobble holds even dead slow. A short pause between short retrieves can draw a following fish to commit.

The setup it likes

Suits a light area-trout rod rated for 1–3 g lures, paired with a 1000–2000 spinning reel, 2–3 lb fluorocarbon or nylon main line and no separate leader needed on stillwater.
