The Pozidrive Garage Hoppin'john 40S T2 (Hoppin'john 40S T2) is a 40mm, 3.5g sinking lipless minnow for mountain-stream fish, built 1g heavier than the T1 model. The added weight sets it up for vertical presentations in spots such as deep water or high banks where a normal cast is impractical. It comes fitted with a #12x2 treble hook set on a #00 split ring.

This listing stocks all 11 of the model's colourways, including yamame-patterned finishes along with a salmon-parr (sake chigyo) and a caddis-larva (budo mushi) pattern.

The swimming action

The heavier T2 version of the Hoppin'john 40S, built 1g up on the T1 to add casting weight and a faster sink rate while keeping the same lipless minnow body and flash-turn roll or jerked dart action.

When to throw it

Set up for vertical presentations in deep water or off high banks where a normal cast is impractical, letting anglers work a mountain-stream pool straight below the rod tip.

How to work it

Drop it vertically and lift-and-fall through deep pools or undercuts, or fish it on a standard retrieve for a flash-turn roll and jerk it for a darting action, same as the T1.

The setup it likes

Suits a 5'0"-6'0" UL native-trout stream rod, a 1000-2000 reel, 2-3 lb line and a light fluorocarbon leader.
