Description

The Nissin ROYAL STAGE Tenkara Zen is a tenkara fly rod combining high operability with core casting performance for a light, quick cast and accurate presentation. A soft carbon solid tip gives a responsive approach to the target lie, while mesh carbon reinforcement through the lower section adds confidence when handling fish. The grip is a long, gourd-shaped (hyotan) premium cork handle, and the rod uses a machined aluminum upper ferrule with 97% carbon content; recommended tippet is 0.8-1.2 go.

This listing stocks the 6:4 action in two lengths: 3207 (3.15m, 7 pieces, 57cm closed, 60g) and 3608 (3.60m, 8 pieces, 57cm closed, 70g).

Japanese name: Royal Stage Tenkara Zen.

Information

The blank

A soft carbon solid tip gives a responsive approach to the target lie, while mesh carbon reinforcement through the lower section adds confidence when handling fish on this 97%-carbon, gourd-grip tenkara rod.

What it's built for

Built for tenkara fly fishing on mountain streams, combining a light, quick cast with enough backbone in the lower blank to handle stronger native trout.

How it fishes

Cast and drift using tenkara technique, trusting the reinforced lower section during the fight rather than just the soft tip.

The setup it likes

Pair with 0.8–1.2号 tenkara line and a fine tippet, fished without a reel.

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?
