Description

The Jackall Live Darter is a 52mm, 4.5g sinking jerkbait, fitted with a hook hanger sized for approximately a #8 treble. A tail-mounted fin and a body balanced to shed water asymmetrically produce a sharp, erratic dart on the twitch.

An inner-scale belly cut and tinsel tail add depth and flash that keep working even as the dart's hang time fades at the top of the retrieve, prompting reaction bites from fish keyed onto the pause. This listing covers six official Jackall colourways: Marmo Shrimp, High Flash Kinkuro, Matte Magic Pearl, Super Clear Wakasagi, Pearl Wakasagi and Baby Ayu.

Information

The swimming action

A tail-mounted fin and an asymmetrically weighted body produce a sharp, erratic dart on the twitch, with an inner-scale belly and tinsel tail adding flash that keeps working as the dart's hang time fades.

When to throw it

A sinking jerkbait suited to bass keyed onto a pause, useful in open water and around cover where a reaction bite is needed from fish that have refused a steadier retrieve.

How to work it

Twitch it sharply to trigger the dart, then pause to let the flash and hang time do the work; fish tend to strike as the action fades at the top of the pause.

The setup it likes

A medium spinning or baitcasting rod and 10-14lb fluorocarbon suit this bait's twitch-and-pause jerkbait presentation in open water and around cover throughout the open-water fishing season and into early winter.
