Information

The swimming action

This High Float version keeps the same reversed front/back rib body as the standard Bow Worm Noodle, but the lighter, non-salted compound lets the worm sit up off bottom instead of lying flat, giving a suspended, lifelike posture while still producing the slim body's whole-body wobble on the fall or a light twitch.

When to throw it

It suits Texas rig and jig trailer work over bottom debris, sparse grass or soft silt where a bait that stands proud of the bottom stays visible to big bass, rather than disappearing flat the way a standard salted worm would.

How to work it

Work it slowly on a Texas rig or as a jig trailer, hopping or dragging it through cover and pausing to let the buoyant tail rise and hover; it can also be fished wacky or on a light jig head for a slower, higher-riding fall.

The setup it likes

A medium-power 6'8"–7'2" baitcasting rod with 12–16lb fluorocarbon suits Texas rig and jig trailer duty on this longer 12in High Float size, while a spinning outfit with 8–10lb fluorocarbon covers wacky presentations.
