Information

The swimming action

The flat belly catches water on the drop, producing a swaying, slow-sinking fall rather than a straight drop. A slit in the belly marks the hook position, and the compact body keeps the fall controlled and easy to track on slack line.

When to throw it

The smallest of the Bass Enemy range, suited to finesse situations where a smaller, slower-falling profile draws more bites than the bulkier 3.5 and 4.5in versions. Useful around docks, laydowns and other cover where a subtle presentation is needed.

How to work it

Fish it on a light Texas rig, drop-shot or unweighted for a natural fall, letting the swaying action work on the sink rather than retrieving it steadily. Watch the line on the drop, as most bites come as the bait settles.

The setup it likes

A medium-light to medium spinning rod with 6-10lb fluorocarbon suits most finesse presentations with this bait. Rig on a size 1 to 1/0 offset hook, with light bullet weights of 1/16-1/8oz for Texas rig work.
