Description

The TATULA TW (TATULA TW 300/400) is a heavy-duty baitcasting reel built around Daiwa's HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, aimed at heavy lines and big-bait/giant-bait fishing for larger targets; it's rated for both freshwater and saltwater use.

The line features TWS (T-Wing System) at the spool's line guide to cut resistance for longer casts and easier control, plus an Ultimate Tournament Drag (UTD) system for smooth, hesitation-free drag. This listing covers the 300XH, 300XHL, 400H, 400XH and 400XHL models.

Information

The drivetrain

Built around Daiwa's HYPERDRIVE DESIGN, the TW300/400 turns with a solid, heavy-duty feel suited to hauling big lures rather than finesse work. The T-Wing System line guide opens wide on the cast for less resistance, then narrows for tighter control on the retrieve.

What it's built for

Aimed at big-bait and giant-bait fishing for larger bass and inshore saltwater targets, wherever the lure itself is heavy enough to need a reel built for load rather than distance alone.

How it fishes

Suited to steady, muscular retrieves of swimbaits, glide baits and big jointed plugs, with the Ultimate Tournament Drag giving smooth, hesitation-free pressure once a big fish is hooked on heavy line.

Spools and spares

Pair with a heavy-power big-bait casting rod, 16-30 lb fluorocarbon or 30-50 lb braid, matched to the size of lure being thrown. Tighten the drag progressively as line capacity narrows through a long fight with a big fish.
