Description
The Base is Clue's benchmark metal jig for bay-area jigging, weighing 160g and measuring 97mm. Its centre-balance body is shaped to a finely tuned aspect ratio, letting anglers control everything from a medium-speed slide fall to a straight, current-resistant fall just by adjusting thumb pressure on the spool. Wide curved surfaces generate strong flash and vibration on the jerk stroke, while a moderate pulling resistance helps the angler read tide changes, layered currents and thermoclines through the retrieve.
Clue designed the Base as an all-round pilot jig for bay-area fish-eaters, built to score above-average results across a full day's fishing whether the technique called for is falling, darting, flashing or vibrating.
