Description

JETTROW (ジェットロー) is a saltwater shore surface lure built around a two-part balanced body: the main body handles casting distance and a splashing surface action to draw fish in, while a small trailing "buddy" lure sized to shirasu (whitebait) triggers the strike. Cast and retrieve with a steady swimming action that skids the main body across the surface while the trailing lure swims naturally behind it. Target species are メッキ (mekki), ツバス (tsubasu), シオ (shio) and カマス (kamasu) — small migratory fish that feed on micro bait.

The swimming action

JETTROW is a two-part surface system: the main body casts and skids across the surface with a splashing wobble, while a small trailing buddy lure sized to shirasu (whitebait) swims naturally behind it and is the actual strike target.

When to throw it

Shore sessions when small migratory fish — mekki, tsubasu, shio and kamasu — are feeding on micro baitfish near the surface, typically spring through autumn around jetties, breakwaters and open beaches.

How to work it

Cast out and retrieve at a steady pace to keep the main body skidding across the surface; the trailing buddy lure does the drawing work, so avoid retrieving so fast that it skips out of the water.

A shore-game spinning rod around 9-10ft in ML-M power, a 3000-4000 size reel, PE1-1.5 line and a 20lb fluorocarbon leader.
