Description

The Megabass MAKIPPA is a 30g saltwater casting blade jig built around a simple cast-and-retrieve action. A tail-mounted blade generates flash and vibration to draw strikes, while Megabass's patented Blade Hook System (PAT.P) keeps the blade spinning freely for high-percentage hookups. The 30g size ships with a tinsel-dressed assist hook as standard, and an "omakase" eye on the belly lets anglers add an optional double or triple hook. Calculated body balance keeps the jig swimming true and flash-stable without body roll.

Official target species: seabass, flounder (hirame), flathead (magochi), Spanish mackerel (sawara), greater amberjack (kanpachi), amberjack (buri, including juvenile inada/warasa stages), horse mackerel (aji), mackerel (saba), largehead hairtail (tachiuo), red sea bream (madai), black sea bream (kurodai), kibire (yellowfin seabream), and bottom-dwelling reef fish (nezakana).

This listing stocks: Iwashi, Pink Iwashi, Akakin, UV Silver, Green Gold, Aji, Mazume Iwashi, Blupin Gold, Glow Zebra, Akakin Half Glow, Gurikin Half Glow, Killer Pink, and Do Chart OB.

Information

The swimming action

A casting blade jig with a tail-mounted spinning blade for flash and vibration, held on a patented free-turning system so the blade keeps working through the retrieve while a calculated body balance stops the jig rolling.

When to throw it

Shore and boat sessions targeting seabass, flathead, flounder and other predators over sand, structure and current lines, wherever a simple, high-percentage cast-and-retrieve blade bait is called for.

How to work it

A straight, steady retrieve is the standard technique, letting the blade spin freely and transmit its thump back through the rod; casting distance and retrieve speed can both be varied to search different parts of the water column.

The setup it likes

A 9'-10' shore casting rod rated for 20-40g lures, a 4000-5000 reel, PE 1.5-2 braid and a 20-25lb fluorocarbon leader handle the casting weight and give abrasion resistance around structure.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
