Description
HILACK (ハイラック) is Buddy Works' rear-weighted sinking pencil, built with a constant 98mm body across three tuned weights (24g/30g/35g) so anglers can rotate models for casting distance, retrieve speed and depth without changing the bait's baitfish-like silhouette. Developed originally as a sea-run cherry salmon (sakuramasu) lure in Hokkaido, the model was found equally effective on flounder (hirame).
This 30g model is Buddy Works' general-purpose pick, with an average cast distance of 90-95m and a retrieve depth window from a 1.5-2m bottom up to roughly 70cm mid-layer — the weight the maker recommends trying first.
