Description

HILACK (ハイラック) is Buddy Works' rear-weighted sinking pencil, built with a constant 98mm body across three tuned weights (24g/30g/35g) so anglers can rotate models for casting distance, retrieve speed and depth without changing the bait's baitfish-like silhouette. Developed originally as a sea-run cherry salmon (sakuramasu) lure in Hokkaido, the model was found equally effective on flounder (hirame).

This 24g model is the lightest of the three, tuned for ultra-shallow, slow-current water: Buddy Works built it to hold metal-jig-level cast distance while still retrieving stress-free through super-shallow surf where a heavier sinking pencil needs a faster retrieve or a raised rod tip to stay up.
