Buddy Works RickFire 30g

Buddy Works RickFire (リックファイア) is a 95mm/30g heavy-sinking pencil for flatfish, aimed at hirame (ヒラメ) and magochi (マゴチ). What the maker chased was an overwhelming sense of suspension while drifting in mid-water: RickFire balances two opposing goals - a high-specific-gravity body for casting distance, and that floating, suspended feel. It is responsive enough to start moving the instant torque hits the handle, so the reeling sensation and the lure's action feel like one connected motion, unlike a typical sinking pencil which is hard to read through the rod.
