Description

The Berkley Finisher 7 is a 70mm, 14g sinking jerkbait built around an arched body and flat belly that produce a distinctive side-to-side dart and meandering fall. A side-facing eye keeps the action and tying point stable, while the finless body design is intended to keep hook-ups sure without fouling the bite. It comes fitted with Fusion19 treble hooks.

It is designed to cover a wide range of presentations, from casting to vertical fishing, switching between wide darting action and mid-column swimming depending on where and how it is worked.

Information

The swimming action

An arched body and flat belly give the Finisher 7 a distinctive side-to-side dart with a meandering fall on the pause. A side-facing eye keeps the action and tying point stable, and the finless body is designed to keep hook-ups sure without fouling the bite.

When to throw it

Suited to bass keyed on baitfish and holding at various depths, from open water to structure, wherever a jerkbait's erratic, wounded-baitfish look is likely to draw a reaction strike.

How to work it

Built to cover a wide range of presentations, from casting to vertical fishing. Work it with a jerk-pause cadence for a wide darting action, or a steadier retrieve for mid-column swimming, switching between the two depending on where fish are holding.

The setup it likes

A medium-power jerkbait spinning or casting rod, a 2500 spinning reel or low-profile baitcaster, and 8-10lb fluorocarbon suit this compact 70mm, 14g size for casting and vertical presentations alike.
