Description

HORIZON LJ (HORIZON LJ) is TENRYU's inshore light-jigging series, spanning super-light to big-game models so anglers can chase a variety of targets in inshore offshore games, typically fishing depths of about 80-100m or less.

The butt uses a C.N.T composite for strength beyond typical light tackle, while tips run either Magnaflex glass tubular (MF/GT) or low-modulus carbon tubular (MF/CT) construction for bite sensitivity. Guides are LG-top and K-guide with stainless steel frames and SiC rings; the reel seat uses a PULS seat on baitcasting models and a DPS seat on spinning models, built around a Nishijin-ori carbon textile grip.

Recommended lure type is metal jigs, targeting medium-sized blue-back fish, cutlassfish, seabass and sea bream.

This listing stocks all eight HORIZON LJ models: the HLJ612B-FM, HLJ622B-FML, HLJ632B-FL and HLJ642B-FLL baitcasters, and the HLJ612S-M, HLJ622S-ML, HLJ632S-L and HLJ642S-FLL spinning rods.

Information

The blank

A C.N.T composite butt gives the Horizon LJ strength beyond typical light tackle, while Magnaflex glass or low-modulus carbon tips flex sensitively enough to register bites at depth without giving up jigging power.

What it's built for

An inshore light-jigging series spanning super-light to big-game models for depths of roughly 80–100m or less, covering medium-sized blue-back fish, cutlassfish, seabass and sea bream on metal jigs.

How it fishes

Work jigs on a steady lift-and-fall or jerk-and-pause cadence suited to drift speed and depth, letting the sensitive tip show bites on the drop before setting the hook through the C.N.T-reinforced butt.

The setup it likes

Pair baitcasting models with a small jigging baitcaster and spinning models with a 3000–4000 reel, both on PE 1.0–2.0 with a 20–30 lb fluorocarbon leader.
