Shimano's アルテグラ (Ultegra), the entry model of the Core Solid spinning-reel series. It pairs Micro Module Gear II with HAGANE gear and Infinity Cross for a smooth, durable retrieve, and the Core Solid platform's higher-inertia rotor suits lures with strong drag resistance. A long-stroke spool supports consistent casting distance and the X-Protect waterproof mechanism guards the internals.

The 2500 is described as a light all-rounder, carrying nylon 3#-120m and suited to everything from lure fishing to float and light bait fishing across a wide range of species. The 4000XG is the line's surf-fishing standard, with a fast retrieve built to handle waves pushing lures in close and crosswinds bowing the line — also well suited to hirasuzuki (rock seabass).
