Shimano's egging-specific Sephia XR (Sephia XR) spinning reel, designed for aori-ika (bigfin reef squid) fishing. A Magnum Lite (MGL) rotor with a CI4+ body and rotor keeps the initial turn of the handle light, Infinity Drive and Infinity Cross add retrieve power and gear durability for fights with large aori-ika, and a Rapid Fire Drag paired with a Duracross washer (on C3000 sizes) lets anglers snap to a new drag setting instantly — useful right after the hook-set to avoid tearing the hook free. An Anti-Twist Fin controls the line slack that egging's constant slack-pickup motion tends to create.

The C2000S is the lightest model in the line, built on a 1000-size body at 150g with PE0.6-150m capacity for light egging and slow, depth-holding presentations. The C3000S is a light-focused, normal-gear all-rounder at 175g with PE0.6-200m, suited to reduced-movement jigging that keeps the egi at a set depth, while the C3000SDH adds a double handle for balance — because the handle isn't gripped during the rod snap that darts the egi, the added weight keeps it from spinning on its own.
