Information

The swimming action

The Shadow Attacker is Rodio Craft's metal vibration lure, a sinking blade bait with a tight, fast wobble on the retrieve and a fluttering drop on the fall. At 1.8g the Jr. is the smallest, finesse-sized model in the range, sinking slowly enough for delicate presentations in shallower water or over pressured fish.

When to throw it

Suited to trout ponds and stream pools when fish want a smaller, slower-sinking vibration profile than the standard 3.0g and 4.0g sizes, particularly over pressured or shallow-holding fish.

How to work it

Work it with a lift-and-fall retrieve, letting it flutter down on a controlled semi-slack line, or bump it gently along the bottom with short lifts.

The setup it likes

Suits a UL area-trout rod, a 1000–2000 spinning reel, 2–3 lb fluorocarbon main line and a short fluorocarbon leader.
