Jackall TN 70

Tungsten-nosed vibration bait built to stand up and shout

  • Outer tungsten mouth (Tungsten Mouth System) drops the centre of gravity for long, accurate casts even into a headwind
  • That same nose weight makes the bait stand nose-up when it lands, so it clears bottom debris instead of snagging on repeated contact
  • Holds its balance from slow finesse work through to a fast burn, so one bait covers the full retrieve-speed range

WHY IT WORKS

Key features

Tungsten Mouth System

Tungsten Mouth System

An external tungsten weight forms the lure's mouth, letting the 70 mm body stand upright on bottom contact instead of tipping over.

Stand-Up Bottom Recovery

Stand-Up Bottom Recovery

Stable flight and retrieve posture from ultra-slow to fast retrieves gives reliable bottom sensing and a quick, snag-resistant recovery.

Original Sound: Tungsten and Brass

Original Sound: Tungsten and Brass

The standard 18.0 g TN70 pairs a tungsten ball at the head with a brass ball in the belly for a high-pitched rattle that carries across open water.

Full Tungsten Sound Tuning

Full Tungsten Sound Tuning

The 18.5 g Full Tungsten model swaps in hard tungsten balls for a louder, deeper-pitched knock tuned to trigger reaction bites.

What makes it different

Built to fish, not just to sell

The swimming action

The tungsten weight sits externally at the mouth rather than inside the body, which lowers the centre of gravity and lets the lure kick into a tight, high-frequency vibration from the moment it hits the water. On the fall it drops with a stable, nose-down attitude and lands standing up rather than tipping onto its side, keeping it fishable through repeated bottom contact.

When to throw it

A strong choice through cold fronts and pre-spawn when bass want a reaction bait worked slower and closer to bottom than a typical lipless crank allows. It is equally effective ripped through matted weed flats and laydowns in warmer months, and its casting distance makes it useful for covering large flats or working into wind quickly.

How to work it

Yo-yo it along the bottom with sharp rod-lifts and controlled falls, as many strikes come on the drop, or rip it through the top of submerged grass and let it deflect free. It also handles a straight, moderate-speed retrieve well for searching mid-depth cover.

The setup it likes

A 7ft medium-heavy to heavy fast-action rod with backbone for solid hooksets on trebles, matched to a 6.3:1-7.1:1 baitcaster and 14-17lb fluorocarbon; many anglers upsize the rear treble to a #4 for better hookup ratios.
