Description

The Rapala Storm Rattlin' Chug Bug CB08 is a topwater popper measuring 8cm (80mm) and weighing 10g, rigged with two No.4 hooks. At rest it sits vertically in the water, and its small cup face throws a big splash that pulls fish in from a wide area.

It's built to handle fast-tempo fishing with ease — a chugger classic for working a quick retrieve without losing its splash-and-pause rhythm.

Information

The swimming action

Like the smaller CB06, the CB08 sits vertically at rest and throws a big splash from its small cup face on the pause, keeping the classic chugging rhythm at a slightly larger, heavier size.

When to throw it

Suited to seabass and bass topwater fishing over calm to lightly rippled water, particularly around dawn, dusk and low-light periods when fish are holding shallow and looking up.

How to work it

Fast-tempo rod pops and pauses suit it best; the cup face throws a splash-and-pause rhythm that holds together even worked quickly, without losing its characteristic chug.

The setup it likes

A medium-power spinning rod with a fast tip and some backbone suits topwater seabass work, matched to 12–16 lb braid with a fluorocarbon leader on a 3000 size reel.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?
