Information

The swimming action

A slim, light sinking pencil for its length that holds a wide rolling wobble and flashes on the sink, giving a slow, natural fall for a bait of this size.

When to throw it

Suited to calmer inshore water such as harbours, canals and river mouths where seabass sit shallow and respond to a natural, unhurried presentation.

How to work it

Retrieve slowly with the rod tip low, adding gentle twitches and letting the lure sink and flash between pulls to imitate an injured baitfish.

The setup it likes

A light to medium spinning rod rated for 5-20g lures, a 2500 reel, 0.6-0.8 PE braid or 8-10 lb monofilament with a fluorocarbon leader.
