The sculpted gill plate catches water on each turn, throwing extra flash and disturbance, while the wider Diamante body holds its cadence through chop and wind that would knock a lighter walking bait off rhythm.

When to throw it

Late spring through early summer when bass are shallow and reactive, over grass flats, around isolated cover and along windblown banks; the Rattle version pulls fish from stained or breezy water, the Silent version suits clear water and pressured fish that have seen a lot of walking baits.

How to work it

Steady wrist-driven twitches on a semi-slack line keep the walk tight and rhythmic; slow the cadence and lengthen pauses around isolated cover where a following fish needs a moment to commit, and speed it up to cover water on flats and points.

A 6'10"-7'2" medium-heavy walking-bait rod with some tip give works the treble hooks without pulling them free, matched to a 7:1 reel and 30-50lb braid or 12-17lb fluorocarbon depending on cover and water clarity.
