Description

The Owner Tougi Jig 40g is a 106 mm shore-jigging metal jig from Owner's Tougi (Tougi) series, weighing a true 40g and supplied with a dedicated Tougi Hook #1/0. It carries over the casting distance, impact-resistant coating and curved swimming action developed for Owner's Gekito Jig series.

It's built to bring shore jigging within reach for anglers working towards their first catch, while still giving light-tackle specialists enough refinement for casting-and-retrieve or vertical jigging sessions from the shore.

Information

The swimming action

Tougi Jig carries over the casting distance, impact-resistant coating and curved horizontal-fall action developed for Owner's Gekito Jig line, in an easy-to-fish package built around a dedicated Tougi Hook.

When to throw it

Pitched as an entry point for anglers learning shore jigging while still offering enough refinement for light-tackle specialists, suited to casting-and-retrieve or vertical jigging from the shore.

How to work it

Works equally well cast-and-retrieved across the surface layers or fished vertically; let it fall on a semi-slack line to get the curved horizontal glide, then work it with steady jigging strokes.

The setup it likes

25-30g suits a 7-8ft L-ML rod, 2500-3000 reel, PE0.8-1.2 braid and 12-16lb leader; 40-50g steps up to an 8ft ML rod, 3000-4000 reel, PE1-1.5 braid and 16-20lb leader.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.
