Description

The After Burner is Xesta’s shore-jigging casting model, updated with a revised hook system and colours. Its body form is designed to resist losing flight posture and carry towards distant targets.

Xesta describes a regular dart on a one-pitch jerk, an irregular movement during the fall, and a range-holding head that produces wobble-and-roll under a straight wind.

Information

The swimming action

A one-pitch jerk produces sharp, regular darts, with an irregular beat added during the fall to trigger a reaction strike. On a straight retrieve the head shape helps hold the chosen depth range while the body wobbles and rolls.

When to throw it

A shore-casting metal jig for open coastline, rock marks and breakwaters where casting distance matters, aimed at general inshore predators and pelagics working bait schools within casting range.

How to work it

Work it with rhythmic one-pitch jerks through the water column, letting the jig fall on a controlled semi-slack line between jerks — most strikes come on the fall or as the retrieve begins again. A straight, steady retrieve alone will also draw out the wobble-and-roll action.

The setup it likes

Suits a shore-jigging rod rated to about 40g, a 4000–5000 size spinning reel, PE2 line and a 30–40lb fluorocarbon leader.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?

Yes. Every item is genuine, sourced only through authorised distributors — never grey imports or marketplace resellers.
