Description

The Nature Boys Wiggle Rider 130g is built from a semi-long, thin-walled iron body with a light specific gravity that lets it slide sharply through the water on a one-pitch jerk, even with light manipulation. The edges are curved to sharpen hydrodynamic performance from a material that is difficult to shape, and the Wiggle (side-to-side) action paired with a rolling fall throws off intense flashing for high visibility.

Stepping up from the 100g in the same range, the 130g gives a bit more casting weight and fall speed for one-pitch jerk jigging. It comes in 12 official Nature Boys finishes, from Silver Holo and Aluminum Silver through to Nakui Glow and Shining Glow II, so anglers can pick a finish to suit the light and water on the day.

Information

The swimming action

A semi-long, thin-walled iron body with a light specific gravity slides sharply through the water on a one-pitch jerk, kicking into a side-to-side wiggle action with a rolling fall that throws strong flash.

When to throw it

Suited to one-pitch jerk jigging for offshore pelagic species, where a sharp, flashy slide-and-fall is wanted to trigger reaction strikes.

How to work it

Work it with a one-pitch jerk retrieve, a single rod jerk paired with one turn of the reel handle, letting the jig slide and roll on each pause.

The setup it likes

Pairs with a one-pitch jigging rod matched to the jig's weight (roughly PE2-5 depending on model), an overhead jigging reel, PE2-5 braid and a 40-80 lb fluorocarbon leader.
