The HARDCORE® BULLET BULL(F) is a 100mm, 30g floating popper from DUEL built for seabass, striped seabass, bonito, dorado, small-to-medium blue fish, large blue fish, GT and tuna.

A next-generation weight-transfer system (MAG BULLET®) delivers long casting distance, and the large-diameter cup face produces a short-pitch, high-appeal splash, bubble and pop sound on retrieve. The lure uses wire-through construction to stand up to big-fish fights.

The swimming action

The Bullet Bull(F) is a topwater popper built around Duel's MAG BULLET weight-transfer system for long casting distance. A large-diameter cup face throws a short-pitch, high-appeal splash, bubble and pop on the retrieve, and wire-through construction is built to stand up to big-fish fights.

When to throw it

Aimed at seabass, striped seabass, bonito, dorado, blue fish, GT and tuna feeding on the surface, making it a rock-shore and offshore topwater option when fish are visibly busting bait. It also suits low-light periods around dawn and dusk, when fish move shallower and closer to structure to feed.

How to work it

Work it with sharp rod-tip pops on a semi-slack line to throw the splash and bubble trail, pausing between pops to let it sit before the next strike is often triggered. Small pauses worked into the retrieve often convert a following fish that has not yet fully committed to the strike.

The setup it likes

Suits an 8'-9' MH to H popping or offshore spinning rod, a 6000-8000 reel, PE3-5 braid and a 60-80 lb fluorocarbon leader. Adjust rod power and leader strength up for structure-heavy marks where a hooked fish needs to be turned quickly, or down for open, snag-free water.
