Description

The Mukai Fishing Barble Bore 33 is a floating area popper, a size-up version of the original Barble at 33mm and 3.2g. It keeps the same easy operability as the standard Barble while its larger size and weight let it reach offshore surface areas the original couldn't.

Designed for topwater trout fishing, it's built for dog-walking, splashing and dive-and-float retrieves along the surface — the zone trout constantly watch for feed and predators, making it an essential technique for area fishing.

Information

The swimming action

A small topwater popper that dog-walks, splashes and dives-and-floats with a cupped face, easy to work even in a compact body, letting the strike happen visibly on the surface.

When to throw it

Calm, low-light sessions on managed area ponds when trout are actively looking up and feeding at or near the surface, particularly around dawn, dusk or overcast conditions.

How to work it

Work it with a gentle dog-walk on slack line, short splashes, or let it float and dive briefly before popping back to the surface; pause between movements to let the rings settle.

The setup it likes

A 5'6"-6'6" light area-trout rod with a soft tip, a small 1000-2000 spinning reel, and 2-4lb fluorocarbon or light braid keep the small topwater riding correctly.
