Description

The Maki Jig Jet is a rear-weighted metal jig built for maximum casting distance and a fast fall, with a blade fitted at a vertical eye so the hook and blade work together on the cast and the retrieve. Major Craft designed it as a "wind and it fishes itself" jig: the blade's flash and micro-vibration draw strikes even on a straight retrieve, making it effective when fish are keyed on slow-moving microbait and won't respond to jerk-and-slide actions.

This 60g size comes in the #80 Live Iwashi colourway, part of Major Craft's live-bait colour range. The long, slender body is aimed at fish that hit their prey from behind, such as sawara and sagoshi (Spanish mackerel), and it doubles as a casting jig for rockfish and tai species usually targeted with tai-rubber rigs.
