The Kosuke 85F is the smallest model in ima's Kosuke line, an 85 mm, 11.5 g floating minnow with the same rolling action as its bigger siblings in a compact, easy-casting body.

When to throw it

It targets seabass and suits harbours, tidal flats, estuaries, rivers, surf, rocky shore and offshore marks, working well as a smaller-profile option when the bite is finicky.

How to work it

Fish it on a straight retrieve at slow to moderate speed through the 30–70 cm layer; the #4 treble on a #3 split ring handles typical inshore seabass.

The setup it likes

Pair with an L–ML 7–8 ft spinning rod, a 2500–3000 reel, 6–10 lb (PE 0.6–1) braid and a 12–16 lb fluorocarbon leader.
