Palms Alexandra AX-50HW

Alexandra (アレキサンドラ) is Palms' flat-side twitching minnow, built to cover water from small mountain streams to main rivers. Casting up or up-and-across lets anglers pick apart tight pin-spots, provoking trout with an effective irregular action produced by minimal lure movement through rod work. It suits both delicate, bold upstream sight-fishing in small creeks and standard-stream, range-conscious falling-into-shaking site fishing across the changing seasons from spring to autumn.

The weight's shape and placement are set to back-slide the lure after it lands, bringing its falling posture close to a level fall, while a reinforced body holds up to tricky, close-in approaches. It carries forward the line's irregular action, casting distance, and light retrieve resistance. A thinner, separately-moulded lip keeps a crisp rise and sharp action while adding strength, and the flat, low-centre-of-gravity body gives a stable fall and continuous side-flash (hira-uchi) action through rod work. The belly hook's Anti Hookout System reduces pulled hooks when a fighting trout rolls, for a more secure landing. Palms packages Alexandra in paper packaging that minimises plastic use.
