Information

The swimming action

Pairs the elastomer-bodied Flash-J with a ball-bearing swivel and blade for a soft blade bait, using an Indiana #1 blade suited to fall, slow retrieve and bamasu use. The action holds up across the full colour range on offer, so casting distance and feel stay consistent whichever finish you pick.

When to throw it

A versatile jig-head bass bait for steady retrieve, fall, midst, skirt-tune twitching, dying rig, reaction drop-shot and bamasu presentations. It suits the same cover-fishing and reservoir bank situations that UK and European bass anglers already use similar-sized baits for.

How to work it

Fish it slowly and let the blade spin on the fall; twitch and pause to trigger a reaction from fish following without committing. Keep light contact with the rod tip through the retrieve so you can feel takes without pulling the bait off its intended track.

The setup it likes

6'6 inch-7'0 inch ML-M spinning rod, 2500-3000 reel, 6-10 lb fluorocarbon. This gives enough backbone to drive trebles or a single hook home on the strike while staying light enough to cast the bait accurately all day.
