Evergreen Sato Jig 140g

Sato Jig (サトウジグ) is fully supervised by Sato, described on Evergreen's official page as a leading figure in modern jigging and the originator of the slow-pitch jerk technique. It was built to Sato's own brief: a flat, long jig that falls fast and can be worked with light jerks.

Nose and tail shapes shed water well in both directions — up on the jerk, down on the fall — for fast bottom contact even in split, cross-running current, while the flat, long silhouette gives strong visual drawing power over a wide area when fish are scarce. The asymmetric front/back body inherits the rear-centre keel and side overhangs from Evergreen's Caprice series for stable, controllable movement, and a small eye limits assist-hook tangling. Detail shaping was finished on the boat and hand-carved by Sato himself. The official page describes it as effective across a range of shallow to mid-depth species without naming specific targets.
