Description

Jack Hammer SB (Stealth Blade) is Seizo Shimizu and Brett Hite's clear-blade evolution of the Jack Hammer, built for the sunny, calm, clear-water, high-pressure conditions where the original's flash and vibration can be too much. Its polycarbonate blade is a full 2.0mm thick through the centre for strength but tapers to a 0.3mm edge — thinner than the original's stainless blade — for a tighter, higher-pitched vibration, and an oval stainless split ring keeps the line connection low-profile, with a stainless plate guarding against head loss if the blade ever breaks.

This 1/2oz model pairs the same low-centre-of-gravity flattened head used across the range with a finer, sparser hand-tied silicone skirt for less air resistance on the cast and easier control of running depth. It's finished with a Decoy purpose-designed fine-wire hook with a low-friction fluorine coating, a double wire keeper for secure trailer holding, and a wire eye set with extra spacing between blade and head to balance stable tracking against its signature momentary dart.

Information

The swimming action

A polycarbonate blade, 2.0mm thick through the centre but tapering to a 0.3mm edge, gives the Jack Hammer SB a tighter, higher-pitched vibration than the stainless-blade original, paired with a finer, sparser hand-tied skirt for less air resistance and easier depth control.

When to throw it

Built for the sunny, calm, clear-water, high-pressure conditions where the original Jack Hammer's flash and vibration can be too much, this 1/2oz size pairs the low-centre-of-gravity head with a sparser skirt for easier depth control.

How to work it

Wind it steadily and expect a subtler presence than the standard Jack Hammer; the fine-wire, fluorine-coated hook and double wire keeper hold a trailer securely through the retrieve.

The setup it likes

A medium-heavy casting rod around 7ft with a 6.3:1-7:1 baitcasting reel and 12-15lb fluorocarbon suits this clear-water 1/2oz chatterbait, with enough backbone to set the hook through a soft-plastic trailer and heavy skirt.

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?
