Description

Designed by Ken Fukushima, the C-4 Shrimp 2.8 is a small, natural-profile soft plastic shrimp bait built around silhouette and lifelike detail. A distinctive double-paddle design lets fine tentacles trail from the claws, while a ring-ribbed body adds extra lifelike texture. It is sold in packs of 8 and measures 2.8 inches in length.

Built for tough, high-pressure conditions, the C-4 Shrimp works as a trailer on a small rubber jig, on a Carolina rig, or on a drop shot, producing bites even when simply left sitting on the bottom. It is an FECO-certified eco tackle product, approved for use in JB/NBC tournaments.

Information

The swimming action

The C-4 Shrimp is a small, natural-profile soft plastic shrimp with a double-paddle design that lets fine tentacles trail from the claws and a ring-ribbed body that adds lifelike texture, giving a subtle, natural look with little action needed from the angler.

When to throw it

It suits tough, high-pressure bass conditions where a small, realistic bait fished with minimal movement out-produces larger, more active lures, particularly around bottom cover and structure holding pressured fish.

How to work it

Use it as a trailer on a small rubber jig, on a Carolina rig, or on a drop shot, and it can simply be left sitting on bottom — bites often come from a stationary presentation rather than an active retrieve.

The setup it likes

A medium-light to medium spinning or baitcasting rod around 6'6"–7'0" with 8–12lb fluorocarbon suits drop shot and Carolina rig use, matched to a 2000–2500 spinning reel or a light baitcaster depending on rig choice.
