Description

Designed by Toshifumi Kikumoto, the Bow Worm is a straight worm whose reverse-rib construction fore and aft grips and moves water; flexing like a bow (its namesake), its fall-and-topple action and fine vibration on touchdown are built to captivate big bass. This 7in size comes 5 to a pack.

The 7in Bow Worm is tuned for leaderless drop-shot work in grass, where it undulates its body powerfully on the fall to draw strikes.

Information

The swimming action

The Bow Worm is a straight, salt-loaded worm with a reversed rib pattern front and back of the beltline that grips the water as it falls, producing a distinct fall-and-topple roll along with fine surface vibration on touchdown. The dense body casts well without added lead and holds a lifelike drop that big bass key onto.

When to throw it

It suits pressured bass around grass, wood and rock where a natural, slow-falling profile draws more looks than a moving bait. It casts well into wind, so it works for probing visible cover close in and for blind-casting open water for bass holding on structure.

How to work it

Pitch or cast it out and let it sink on a slack to controlled line, watching for the tap on the drop. Light twitches or a slow drag along bottom extend the bite window once it settles, and short hops keep the tail kicking without over-working the bait.

The setup it likes

A medium-power 6'6"–7'0" spinning or baitcasting rod with 10–14lb fluorocarbon, or 30lb braid to a 12–16lb leader, suits most rigging methods for this size around grass and drop-shot work.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.
