Description

The Bow Worm 5 High Float is the 5-inch size of Toshifumi Kikumoto's Bow Worm straight worm, moulded in a buoyant material and sold in packs of 10. Its reverse-rib body grabs water front to back, giving the worm a bow-like flex and a fine tremor as it settles after landing.

The high-float compound stands the tail up off the bottom on a Texas rig or as a jig trailer, producing an exaggerated stand-up action that a standard-density worm can't match, and it also has a nail-sinker hole for fine-tuned finesse and spinning presentations.

Information

The swimming action

The reverse-rib body grabs water front to back, giving the worm a bow-like flex and a fine tremor as it settles after landing. The high-float compound replaces the standard salted material used in the regular 5in Bow Worm.

When to throw it

Suited to Texas rig and jig trailer work where an exaggerated stand-up presentation is wanted, producing a different look on the bottom to a standard-density worm. Also useful for finesse and spinning presentations thanks to the nail sinker hole.

How to work it

Fish it Texas-rigged or as a jig trailer, or nail-weighted through the sinker hole for casting distance. Let it settle fully, as the exaggerated stand-up action develops once the bait comes to rest rather than during the fall.

The setup it likes

A medium-light spinning rod with 8-10lb fluorocarbon suits finesse presentations with this size, particularly when nail-weighted for casting distance. Rig on a 2/0-3/0 offset worm hook, keeping weight light enough for the tail to stand up.

Straight answers

How is it priced?

We give you the cheapest available price, as we get it directly from the distributors. You pay what an angler in Japan pays, plus postage.

When does my order leave Japan?

Orders are packed in Japan and handed to Japan Post within 3 to 8 business days. You get a tracking number by email the moment it ships.

How long does delivery take?

Australia and the US: 7 to 14 business days on Standard or Economy, 2 to 7 on Express EMS. Europe and the UK: 10 to 20 business days, 3 to 7 on EMS. Every option is priced at checkout before you pay.

Will I be charged import duty or tax?

Australia: no duty on orders under A$1,000 and GST is already in the price. US: orders under US$800 clear duty-free. EU and UK: VAT is collected at checkout so nothing is due on delivery for standard orders.

Is it genuine stock?
