Description

The Evergreen Bow Worm 4.2 is a slim-bodied straight worm born from Ken Fukushima's attention to detail, built to handle high-pressure water and tough conditions. Like the rest of the Bow Worm range it uses a reversed front-and-back rib structure that grips the water for a distinctive fall and fine vibration. It ships 15 to a pack, available here in #01 Green Pumpkin/Black, #11 Scuppernong, #38 Moebi (Grass Shrimp), #41 Wakasagi (Smelt), #44 Solid Cinnamon, #71 Akahara (Red Belly Dace) and #133 Natural Worm.

Its slimmer profile is suited to finesse presentations where bass have seen a lot of pressure, giving the same falling action as the bigger Bow Worm sizes in a smaller, subtler package.

Information

The swimming action

The reverse-rib body grips the water for a distinctive fall and fine vibration, in a slimmer profile than the larger Bow Worm sizes. The slim body still produces the same bowing, flexing action on the drop, just at a smaller scale.

When to throw it

Built for high-pressure water and bass that have seen a lot of lures, where a slimmer, subtler profile draws more bites than the bulkier Bow Worm sizes. Suited to clear water and heavily fished lakes and ponds.

How to work it

Fish it Texas-rigged, wacky, or as a light jig trailer, letting it fall on a controlled slack line so the reverse-rib action can work. The slim profile falls a little faster than the bulkier sizes, so watch the line closely on the drop.

The setup it likes

A medium-light to medium spinning or baitcasting rod with 8-10lb fluorocarbon suits finesse presentations with this size. Rig on a 1/0-2/0 offset worm hook with a light bullet weight or no weight for wacky rigging.
