When to throw it

Suited to reservoir fishing, particularly deep-water and structure situations similar to those the smaller Shake Craw 2 is built for, but with a larger profile for bigger bass. It also holds up across a full bass season, from pre-spawn staging areas through summer cover and into the cooling water of autumn, rather than suiting one narrow window.

How to work it

Suits Texas rig, leaderless downshot, free rig and back-slide rig presentations, as well as swimming on a football jig head; work with a shaking or swimming retrieve to trigger the claw vibration. Vary the cadence and the length of the pause between casts until you find what is drawing bites that day, since bass response to speed can change through a session.
